Sharon Watkins, owner, and CEO of RadiusPoint© is an entrepreneur, leader, philanthropist, and so much more. Late last year, she added WBENC-Certified Women-Owned Small Business (WOSB) to the list.
Founded in 1997, Women’s Business Enterprise National Council (WBENC) is the nation’s leader in women’s business development and the leading third-party certifier of businesses owned and operated by women, with more than 13,000 certified Women’s Business Enterprises, 14 national Regional Partner Organizations, and over 300 Corporate Members. WBENC Certification verifies that a business is at least 51 percent owned and operated by a woman or women and is accepted by over 1,000 corporations including cities, states, and government agencies,
To address the challenges women face in maintaining a business, WBENC provides support, resources, and networking opportunities to ensure women business owners have access to tools they need to prosper.
Next week, Sharon and the RadiusPoint© Solutions Consultant team will be attending WBENC’s Annual National Conference and Business Fair in Detroit! Women Business Enterprises (WBEs), senior executives and procurement representatives from the Fortune 500 as well as the U.S. Government will be attending this three-day event full of conference features and lectures, thought leaders, engaging panel discussions and 1:1 Matchmaker sessions.
Obtaining the WBE and WOSB certifications have unlocked many opportunities for RadiusPoint©. By including women-owned businesses among their suppliers, corporations and government agencies demonstrate a commitment to fostering and developing their diversity programs. In addition to WBENC certifications, RadiusPoint© has also received their IT 70 Schedule from the General Services Administration (GSA), the premier procurement source for all federal agencies.
As the only WBE, WOSB and GSA certified firm in the industry to provide Telecom, Wireless, and Utility Expense Management as well as Mobile Device Management services, we take great pride in being a part of such a diverse network of professionals. We are deeply looking forward to WBENC’s upcoming conference to connect with other diverse vendors and government entities from across the nation.
