A nationwide Quick Service Restaurant (QSR) with 600 locations receives over 2,000 invoices per month with no idea what services are being used. There had been no inventory check? and all services were ordered as needed with no streamlined approach to ensure business continuity, contract, or favored pricing.
RadiusPoint provided an Inventory of all services and the Audit to ensure service accuracy. Some of the areas identified during the Inventory and Audit were:
- Local Service vendor long distance plans billed on local service lines – this occurred when the lines were set up, the PIC and LPIC were established with the local vendor and it was placed on a monthly service plan, some over $100.00 per month for a specific number of long distance minutes. The only problem – the locations don’t use long distance calling.
- Phone numbers that were supposed to have been canceled the year prior due to the removal of the fax lines.
- DSL that was ordered at the incorrect speed and therefore the incorrect rates.
The savings involved a two-month process to make changes with the vendors and the reduction of the annual cost was $500K. One of the biggest advantages is the clean inventory or only those services that were needed, as well as, the DSL details for future changes.
